Good News for Denver Area Home Sales

The average sales price of a home in the Denver metro area rose to $252,307 – this is up from Jan 2010 by 5.9%  We are seeing an increase in home sale prices because the economy is improving stated the Denver Business Journal today. I think consumer confidence is increasing and we are ready to make longer term commitments to our homes as well. The active lisitngs on properties in 2010 also increased by over 1000 properties as compared to this time last year. We are seeing some postive movement and the listings are not all foreclusre and short sales! Rates are still low and with good credit and some down payment you can buy a $252,000 house and have a payment of about $1500 per month!
